ABYSS — CHAPTER 1 Page 8 — The Assassin’s Mission Panel 1 — The Missing Book Inside a vast, dark throne room, the mysterious ruler of the Abyss sits on a towering black throne. His face remains hidden in deep shadow. Black stone pillars and dim red lanterns surround him. A frightened guard kneels before the throne. Guard: “My lord! The book from the forbidden archive is missing!” Panel 2 — The Ruler’s Fury Close-up of the ruler’s hand gripping the throne’s armrest tightly. His face remains mostly concealed, but his visible eyes burn with anger. Ruler: “Someone has discovered our secret…” Panel 3 — The Deadly Order The ruler leans forward on his throne, his face still hidden in shadow. The guard bows lower. Ruler: “Send the most dangerous assassin in the Abyss. Find the person who took that book.” Ruler: “Do not let them reveal the truth.” Panel 4 — Introducing the Assassin In a dark stone chamber, introduce a tall, lean assassin with long, straight charcoal-black hair, narrow crimson eyes, and a black mask covering the lower half of their face. The assassin wears a fitted, entirely black combat outfit, black gloves, dark trousers, black boots, and a long black hooded cloak. A single dark-metal sword hangs at their waist. Their expression is cold, controlled, and intimidating. The assassin stands motionless in the shadows as a messenger delivers the ruler’s command. Messenger: “Your target has stolen the forbidden book.” Assassin: “I’ll find them.” Panel 5 — The Hunt Begins Show the SAME assassin with identical long charcoal-black hair, crimson eyes, black face mask, fitted black outfit, gloves, boots, hooded cloak, and sword at their waist. The assassin walks through the enormous stone gates toward the lantern-lit village. Their cloak flows behind them. Narration: “The ruler had unleashed his most dangerous hunter.” Panel 6 — Sora and Rei Show Sora Amamiya and Rei Mikazuki walking together through the Abyss village, completely unaware of the danger approaching them. Sora Amamiya: 17 years old, 178 cm tall, slim athletic build, messy layered jet-black hair with sharp irregular spikes and uneven bangs, sharp light-grey eyes with dark pupils, youthful defined face. He wears a fitted black high-collar jacket with silver buttons, a dark shirt, black trousers, a black belt with a rectangular silver buckle, black lace-up combat boots, and white bandages around both wrists and partially over both hands. His dark travel bag hangs at his side. No scars or markings. Rei Mikazuki: Soft, layered silver hair, cool blue-grey eyes, calm but mysterious expression. He wears a black hooded cloak with subtle blue accents over dark layered clothing, black trousers, and black boots. A blue crystal pendant hangs from a silver chain around his neck. Sora walks with the discovered book secured in his travel bag. Rei walks beside him, still troubled by what he has learned. Panel 7 — The Assassin Finds Them From a distant rooftop, the SAME assassin watches Sora and Rei below. The assassin has long charcoal-black hair, narrow crimson eyes, a black face mask, fitted black combat clothing, gloves, dark boots, a long black hooded cloak, and a dark-metal sword at their waist. The assassin’s crimson eyes narrow as they recognize the two targets. Assassin: “There you are.” Final Panel — The Hunter’s Eyes Extreme close-up of the assassin’s narrow crimson eyes beneath the dark hood. The village lanterns reflect in their eyes. The assassin’s expression is cold and merciless. Narration: “Their peaceful journey was about to end.”
