His face remains hidden in deep shadow. Black stone pillars and dim red lanterns surround him. A frightened guard kneels before the throne. Guard: “My lord! The book from the forbidden archive is missing!” Panel 2 — The Ruler’s Fury Close-up of the ruler’s hand gripping the throne’s armrest tightly. His face remains mostly concealed, but his visible eyes burn with anger. Ruler: “Someone has discovered our secret…” Panel 3 — The Deadly Order The ruler leans forward on his throne, his face still hidden in shadow. The guard bows lower.
